Artificial Insemination

With an intent to improve and strengthen deer herds, artificial insemination allows does to breed with bucks from anywhere in the world. This technique results in superior herd genetics, and in bigger and stronger offspring. Fouts Equine specializes in two types of insemination. Because studies have indicated that stress has an effect on a doe’s conception rate, hiring a knowledgeable, well-versed specialist like Dr. Fouts is recommended. The process that Fouts Equine employs is not labor intensive and is gentle on the doe, completed in a safe, controlled environment.

Transcervical Insemination (TCI)

This technique takes the semen and deposits it directly in the uterus externally through the cervix.
